Emily’s Breast Augmentation: A “Before” Patient Story

Breast Augmentation Before Story

Emily came to us looking to restore lost volume in her breasts, and she has scheduled her breast augmentation surgery. In the meantime, we asked her to share her thoughts on the experience so far.

I am 31 years old from Idaho Falls and currently live in Shelley, Idaho.

My husband and I have 8 boys together, ranging in age from 15 months to 10 years old. I’ve been a beautician for 10 years, and I recently started a new journey with SeneGence. I have been with them for 2 months, and I love what I do. I’m extremely passionate about it. I was a dancer from age 3 to 16. I enjoy shopping, spending time with my family, and being the ultimate “soccer mom”. How can I not be with this many boys!

I had a hysterectomy in September — and that was when I decided that since I’m done having babies, it’s time to take care of me. I’ve decided that I am going to have breast augmentation surgery in Idaho Falls with Dr. Freeman.

I am so thankful that I was able to breastfeed all 6 of my babies, 2 of whom are twins who nursed for 14 months. However, to say that I am deflated is an understatement! I am 5’3”, 105 pounds, and completely flat chested. I honestly feel like I have the same body as my 10-year-old son. I want this surgery to be able to feel like a woman again and be able to fill out clothing, swimsuits, and bras.

I had thought about ways to address my problem areas without surgery, but there really isn’t a way around it. I don’t have much to work with here. I have always thought surgical procedures are the way to go if it helps you feel better about yourself, build your confidence, and make you feel like you can take on the world, because you aren’t packing around insecurities. Do it! Go for it!

I don’t think there is any shame in someone wanting to better herself.

Before I had heard much about Dr. Freeman’s practice, I did a lot of research. I have many friends who have had breast surgery in one form or another, so I picked their brains. I contacted their doctors, but I just never felt super comfortable going to any of them, especially because they were out of town.

After discussing it with my family and friends that had been to Dr. Freeman, I decided to make an appointment for a consultation. He was so kind, he immediately put me at ease, and he answered all of my questions. He was very thorough and explained everything in a way that helped me understand and feel comfortable about the surgery and healing process. He and his staff were very caring, knowledgeable, and professional.

I knew that Dr. Freeman was the perfect choice for me.  I knew that I would be in good hands and well cared for. I’m especially happy that I don’t have to travel and worry about a long car ride home directly after surgery. I can go home to my own bed.

Dr. Freeman and his staff are amazing. They are always quick to respond, very thoughtful, and so friendly. They make me feel confident about my choice, and I couldn’t be happier with my experience thus far!
